The Afton Youth Sports Organization recognizes the importance sports plays in the development of our children. Your AYSO Board also recognizes the need and importance of safe and fun sports experiences for our children. We have begun the process of training our youth coaches through the SUNY Youth Sports Institute. In October 2008 the following Officers and Board Members attended the training offered through SUNY Cortland:Ernie Cutting, Neil Elliott, Heather Reynolds and Laura Volk The training class was held at Broome Community College. AYSO will periodically sponsor the certification class for interested youth coaches. As coaches attend and pass the required course materials their names will be added to our Certified Youth Coach list.
